2007 RECAP TJFL started with some highs and lows, in May we started the year with our booth at Thorntonfest many families played our football toss game and received information about the upcoming season.

TJFL Family Member lost
On June 14, 2008 11 year old Celena Lucero was killed in a tragic accident on I-25 just north of Denver when the Vehicle her step-father Lee Madrid was driving was struck by another vehicle causing it to roll over. Celena Lucero was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene. Celena Lucero was a Cheerleader for the two years with TJFL, in 2005 with the Heat and last year with the Explosion, she will be missed by her friends, teammates and Coaches. Lee is the coach of the Raiders Football team in the Junior Division; their family has been active with TJFL for a number of years. Please join us in wishing a speedy recovery to the other members of his family who were injured in this accident.
