In what is the most disappointing game possible the Cowboys were forced to forfeit due to Covid-19 exposure. We hope all the Cowboys players and coaches are well and recover quickly 

The Broncos were coming off a great week of practice and eager to shake off the loss from last week. If the season continues the Broncos will be the # 4 seed and ready to face anyone 

In a very tough game the Broncos who were on a 3 game win streak were eaten up by a hungry Bengals team. The game started out with the Broncos driving to the 10 before stalling then the defense got a safety on the 12th play of the game. The Bengals kept coming and size difference started to wear down the smaller Broncos. There were many good plays by the Broncos but they couldn't string together enough to get back into the game. 

Biggest highlight of the game was a pass from QB Josiah to TE Jimmy for 12 yards and a 1st down. 

In the oldest remaining rivalry in TJFL Broncos 20- Vikings 6  

The Broncos 2-2 faced their biggest challenge Saturday against the Vikings 4-0. The Vikings took the opening kickoff and marched right down the field and scoring on the 7th play of the game. The Broncos offense struggled and the defense tightened up. The defensive battle began at the half it was 6-0 Vikings. The Broncos made an adjustment at half time hoping for a spark from the offense, that adjustment became the difference. On the 4th play of the 2nd half RB Speedy ran through the 4 hole 21 yards to the end zone, the extra point was good. The following drive by the Vikings went 8 plays before CB Chris intercepted the the Viking pass. A penalty after the pick 6 negated the defensive score, but the very next play RB speedy scampered 30 yards for the score to make it 14-6 Broncos. The fired up Broncos defense forced another 4 and out. The Broncos then took the ball 7 plays and QB Josiah ran it in from the 28 for the final score 20-6 Broncos.

Rb Stats were lower this week.  Speedy had 98 yards Jack 33 Bronson 4 and QB Josiah 28  

The defensive players were the stars in this game Chris had an interception. The Broncos defense ended 6 of the Vikings 7 drives with vicious tackles and smart football. MLB  Bronson and DT Chance lead all tacklers and dominated the middle of the field. 

Week 4 the 1-2 Broncos vs 1-2 Raiders 

The Broncos defense lead by Jack came to play on Saturday. The swarming defense made 31 tackles at or behind the line of scrimmage, only allowing 2 plays for positive yardage, recovering 3 fumbles and blocking 2 punts.

On the offensive side of the the ball the line opened nice holes for RBs and played a very solid game. FB Bronson  had 13 yards rushing and got his 1st TD of the season. Jack had 35 yards and  2TDs,  Speedy had 3 TDs and 180 yards rushing                                             

It was a great team win 

In game 3 the 0-2 Broncos faced the 0-2 Titans. So someone was going to finally get their 1st win of the season. On the Broncos first possession Rb Speedy took the toss and sprinted 54 yards to the end zone, for the 1st of his 3 long touchdowns and 231 yards rushing in 13 carries. RB Jack was also good for 2 touchdowns and 53 yards on 11 carries.  But the defense who finally came together may have been the real story of the game. The defense was led by Chance who dominated the line of scrimmage and was almost unstoppable catching or disrupting the QB and RBs behind the line of scrimmage on almost every Titan play. The entire defense showed improvement and got their 1st shutout of the season. It was a great team win and hopefully a sign of things to come!!     

The Broncos boys opened the game with a great 12 play drive. Marching right down the field and scoring an a 4 yard run. But the game went down hill from there. The Broncos ended up with 10 penalties and couldn't manage another drive. Meanwhile the Saints offense started clicking and was able to score 3 on the Broncos. The Broncos coaches seen the improvement in the players and know that without all the senseless penalties this could have been a different game. So it's back to the drawing board for coaches.     

In the 1st game of 2020 the Broncos opened the season with the Dolphins. This game became a hard hitting defensive battle. The Dolphins drew 1st blood on the 7th play of the 3rd quarter with a 9 yard touchdown pass. This woke up the Broncos and  finally on the 6th play of the 4th quarter RB Speedy broke free for a 30 yards gain and 2 plays later punched it in. He also ran it in for the extra point making the score 7-6 Broncos. Then tragedy struck on the ensuing kick off and the Dolphins ran it back for a touchdown. It was a good game that unfortunately did not go exactly as the Broncos wanted. The young Broncos showed a lot of character and heart by not giving up and coming back to take the lead but showed their youth by letting up on the kick off. This is a great lesson for the boys. The Broncos will be looking for their 1st win when they face the Saints next week .

On the offensive side Speedy ran for 78 yards on 16 carries in his Junior division Qb Josiah was 1-3 for 9 yards. 

On the defensive side the boys only gave up 1 first down and one big pass play 

Keys to success in the future hold on to the ball with 3 fumbles and 2 bad snaps it is hard to win. Cut down on penalties both sides of the ball 6 flags is too many.  

It is a long season and the heart of this team has what it takes to win.
