Bulls Game 4

Bulls 0 Wolverines 35

We knew we would have our work cut out for us knowing we were going into this game with four of our players out with injuries.  Hats off to Gary Overton which is one of our superstar lineman, for starting the game with an injured calf and playing all the way up to where we had to make a decision to pull his pads.  Unfortunately getting off to a bad start on the first play of the game with the Wolverines being able to return the kickoff for a touchdown.  Then shattering our confidence the offense throws a pass whih is intercepted and returned for a touchdown.  With the Bulls defense fighting to the bitter end our offense just simply could not punch it into the endzone after a couple of strong plays down the field, leaving the Bulls scoreless.

Bulls Game 3

Bulls 13 Saints 18

With a powerful first half the Bulls take an early 13 to 0 lead.  Right before halftime the Bulls offense threw a pick 6 leaving the score at the half Bull 13 and the Saints 6.  The second half of the game literally slips away when the weather turns and the rain starts to pour down on us.  Unfortunately the Bulls offense struggled to hold on to the ball with several consecutive fumbles.  The Saints capitalized on a couple lucky broken plays where there able to beat our corners on the outside and get two scores by the end of the fourth quarter.  This is a game where we struggled to hold on to the ball in the poor weather but I am confident if we were able to have a rematch the Bulls would be victorious.

Bulls Game 2

The strong will of the Bulls held so close the first half of the game with our outstanding defense holding the very tough Ravens offense to only a 6 point lead at the half.  Our offense struggled throughout the entire game with our line giving way to the Ravens powerful defensive front.  With are defense making several stops on the Ravens offense, we had a fantastic play by #18 Tyler Blair with an interception that was returned for a 40 yard touchdown.  In defensive terminology my friends that is what we call a pick 6.  Adding a little bit more confidence, we were able to run Levi up the middle for the extra point, putting the score at 13 to 7.  The offense struggled to produce any points wearing our defense down with consecutive 4 and outs.  Unfortunately our offensive line crumbled under the pressure of the Ravens defense, making it difficult to run any plays with our back field under attack.  So to the boys of the green and gold, keep your heads up dispite a 0-2 start.  We are confident looking forward to our up coming games that our offensive line will prepare themselves over the next 4 practices and come out and lead this team with the Bulls victorious over the Saints on April 14, making it our first win of the season.  Honorable mentions: #18 Tyler Blair for a heads up play, intercepting the ball and scoring our only touchdown of the game.  #47 Gary Overton for giving it everything he had playing both sides of the ball and making key stops on the defense.  #15 Adrian Simpson for outstanding special team plays and making hard hits on defense as well as making crucial stops.  We will see at practice on Tuesday to prepare for a Friday scrimmage against the Wolverines.

Bulls Game 1

Today, the boys of the gridiron were overcome by injuries sustained in the game.  With 5 of our players having to take their pads off due to being injured in the game.  The final score was the Bulls 13 and the Texans 14, late in the fourth quarter the Texans threw for a 2 point conversion which our secondary was unable to knock down, thus giving the Texans a 1 point lead which gave the Bulls their first loss of the season.  Sometimes losing by 1 point are the hardest losses to take, but to our Bulls keep your heads up we will have the opportunity to avenge our loss with the Texans as we play them again on the 6th and final game of the season.   Honorable mentions: receiving the game ball #22 Dominic Lujan for being able to blitz in on the Texans offense and creating big plays, #88 Ryan Curnow for stepping in as running back with minimal reps in our first two weeks at practice, #53 Levi Zornes for his first time at quarterback position with no dropped snaps or fumbled handoffs, #77 Jack Scanlan and #99 Sean Scanlan for going both ways on our defensive and offensive lines, the Texans had no success running the ball through our defensive line.  Great job boys, I will see you at practice on Tuesday to prepare for our next game Bulls vs Ravens.
